El Pollo Loco, a leading Mexican fast food restaurant chain is dedicated to serving only the best fire-grilled chicken and authentic ingredients. Originally a roadside chicken stand in Guasave, Mexico, El Pollo Loco opened its first American El Pollo Loco location in 1980. The original restaurant on Alvarado Street in Los Angeles, CA is still in operation.

Our Mexican restaurants and their team members are passionate about authentic, hand-made fast food and go to great lengths to prepare and serve our signature citrus-marinated, fire-grilled chicken. Our process starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of Mexican inspired herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then gently fire-grilled for an hour, hand-cut and served hot and fresh with our chicken meals, burritos, salads, original Pollo Bowl®, tacos and quesadillas. We put that same dedication and care into our salsas, guacamole and dressings every day. All El Pollo Loco ingredients are hand-prepared fresh daily. Some say the lengths we go to are crazy.
